Even into md-January, the Goldfinches still come to the Teasel heads.
Is it time to tidy-up the garden now, Greenfingers?
Not yet - not if there's a full moon in the month.

Black Bryony, Rose Hips, Common Whitebeam and Spindle Berry - quite a fruit salad awaiting the arrival of the winter thrushes on the Ox Drove.
There are always large flocks of Redwings & Fieldfares to be found there from November onwards.

2/4 If you have a hedge, try to get some/more Field Maple trees growing in it - such a great natural resource for all the finch family.
The seeds last for ages & finches also love the buds, which doesn't appear to affect the vigour of the tree at all.
