and Fernflower will analyze the .class file and recreate a .java file.

i am most grateful for kotlin itself, but also IDEA, compose, webstorm, pycharm, fernflower, dotpeek. all their dev tools are basically reliably excellent and kotlin is incredible

Luckily, I remember the days when Fernflower first came out. There were plenty of decompilers then, but they were all wrappers over the JAD decompiler. JAD was fast, but that was only one of its virtues. Fernflower, on the other hand, was very good.

TinyClan ConiferClan BrineClan Pre-Game History After all half-Clan cats were exiled from ConiferClan by the leader, Crowstar, the group made their way through the pine forests of ConiferClan's territory to settle by the shore. Fernflower, elected by her Clanmates because of kind and supportive nature as well as good leadership skills, made her way to Silverpelt's Cave to talk with StarClan. The StarClan cats, recognizing that the exiled cats were in need of help, granted Fernflower her nine lives and named her Flowerstar. She returned to the group to let them know they were no longer just a bunch of exiled ConiferClan cats; they were BrineClan cats. Crowstar, engraged by this, waged war on the new BrineClan cats. Many of the original exiled cats lost their lives, causing BrineClan's numbers to dwindle. It wasn't until a BrineClan warrior named Ottertail got the upper paw on Crowstar and managed to take his final life that the war ended. However, BrineClan and ConiferClan still mantain a rivalry, mostly driven by their different stances on half-Clan cats. Pre-Game History ConiferClan was the first Clan to form in the territory, founded by a slender calico molly named Gannetstar. She was previously a loner from the Twolegplace who wanted better for her small group of cats. She discovered Silverpelt Cave, as well as made her first connection with StarClan, who gave her nine lives. Long after Gannetstar had passed and joined the ranks of Silverpelt, ConiferClan had a new leader, a large black tom by the name of Crowstar. At the time ConiferClan was a Clan full of mixed-blood cats, and Crowstar, who had come from a line of pure ConiferClan cats, took issue with it. Exiling the half-Clan cats from ConiferClan, those exiled formed their own Clan by the shore: BrineClan. A bloody war ensued only to prove to the new Clan that Crowstar would not accept their Clanhood so easily. Crowstar lost his final life to a blow from a BrineClan warrior, Ottertail, and the war was over, though tensions still continued to hold between the two Clans. Countless seasons later, a ConiferClan queen, Frogleap, left the Clan in the middle of the night. Full of half-Clan kits, and knowing that they would look like BrineClanners, she did not want to be discovered by her Clanmates and fled. She gave birth to three kits on unclaimed land; some scrubby fields just outside of BrineClan and ConiferClan territory. After nursing the kits until they weaned, she left again, abandoning the kits.
