Oh I haven't played the original tactics games yet. I know the vibe is very, very different in those. I actually don't find FF XII Ivalice to be that dissimilar to FF tactics advance Ivalice, even if FFTA is not supposed to be real.

Looked up forms and quizzes to brainstorm oc stuff but none of it clicked for me. Reading comedy manga with an ensemble cast and matching with unconventional RPG classes is really doing it for me.

Not QUITE the first and not QUITE the most recent, but... he hasn't changed very much at all except becoming older, fatter, bluer, and ditching the wizard hat.

I cannot tell you how every Nintendo Direct or anything to do with Square Enix announcements I am holding my breath for FF Tactics anything.
But specifically I would lose my mind if they remastered FFTA from the GBA, or Grimoire of the Rift. A third entry would make me faint

I couldn't afford the original (it was never sold where I live), but I still regret not ordering a bootleg copy of FFTA from AliExpress to play on my DS light.

The only oldschool website with clean looking tables for FFTA stuff is thrown to page 10+ on google searches and uses php but hasn't been updated since 2024 T-T
I can make my own stuff on Obsidian like I do with fighting games and XIV, but it'll still look clunky

if you were ever an ffta guy i would give horizon's gate a shot. it's in a similar vein vis-a-vis customization (as well as making a team out of various weird furry-adjacent critters), but also its skill design interacts with space more thoughtfully than fft/a/2 ever bothered to

Uma característica importante do universo de Ivalice (FF12 e os Tactics) é que várias raças inteligentes convivem entre si, então ele "humanizaram" um pouco mais os moogles pra serem mais próximos d3 uma raça com civilização do que serem apenas monstrinhos inteligentes.

Like the game gives you the capture eye thing but like drawing/writing out puzzle clues adds to the experience & I can't think of a game where I took physical notes on that I don't remember fondly (FFTA, FE:Fates, Majora's Mask, to name a few)
