Rinh, returned from the First, Light-bleached with golden scars running down her ribs, appears to slip from within a picture frame. She is larger than life, pushing free to disappear into the dark surround. Aymeric stands below her, reaching upward. To her and to the golden light.

Aymeric de Borel stands with his eyes closed in a field of scarlet higanbana, dipping a nude miqo'te woman low as if they are dancing. Her expression is detached, and she is bound up in red shibari ropes. The pose of the characters is based on art of the main characters from the manga, "The Witch and the Beast" by Se.

Haurchefant holds a miqo'te woman, who reaches up to touch Aymeric's face. He is staring at the viewer, face cast in part shadow, as Aymeric and the woman reach around him toward one another. Aymeric holds on to one of Haurchefant's hands, which is in turn gripping the woman's leg. Both men hold spider lilies, which frame the miqo'te woman's illuminated face.

Aymeric stands behind Rinh, who is in a thin white gown, bathed in light, her palms held loosely upward by her sides and eyes closed as a sacrificial maiden. His cheek is almost pressed to her hair, a complicated expression on his face, and his arms around her but not quite touching her. She appears to bow forward, bending to his presence. The moment is intimate but they do not make contact.

Aymeric holds a nude miqo'te woman close to his chest, curled around her with his hand in her hair and his head on her shoulder. His expression is tense. With his eyes closed, he might be praying. The woman seems not to be aware of his discomfort, reaching upward into the dark toward a white raven with brightly lit wings, a distant expression on her face. A black raven in mirrored pose appears to close in on her back.

A miqo'te woman dressed in red and white, with red spider lilies in her hair, holds a bright red apple in one hand. She has her fingers to Aymeric's lips as if she is pantomiming offering him communion, and he holds one hand clutched to his bare chest still half-posed as if in prayer. His other hand reaches for the apple. Her eyes gaze heavenward while he stares down at her, light bathing her face.

A nude miqo'te woman draped in silver chains and sapphires arches her back with her hands above her head, suspended in the air. Aymeric is positioned as if he is shooting and arrow and she is the bow, his hand pressed against her stomach and a blood-tipped arrow drawn with its tip notched against her side. He looks ahead, into the moonlight, while her face is tipped toward the sky and her eyes are closed.
