STABLECOINS DON'T DO ANYTHING BETTER THAN FIAT CURRENCIES EXCEPT MONEY LAUNDERING
Step 1:

"Tether’s stablecoin has become a primary means of payment for the Iranian regime and a tool for funding terrorist proxy organizations such as Hezbollah..."

Step 2:

Now google Howard Lutnick and Tether

People really lose their minds when they find out about fiat currencies before they find out *why* we use fiat currencies

The system you grew up with is dead and fiat currencies are collapsing. Billionaires are implementing the "new" system without your input. Shut everything down asap. General strike, tax strike, debt strike, rent strike.
People need to wake up to reality fast. The government has been shutdown and fascist couped. Billionaires stole all the wealth. They are building concentration camps and a total surveillance state. Placards and protests are not enough.
A federal judge in Colorado says that he's "dumbfounded" over ICE's warrantless arrests and their refusal to follow their own policy.

America is a fascist police state.

Gold (black) is now up a stunning 13% since Powell's dovish speech at Jackson Hole on August 22. This is happening even as the Dollar (blue) is stable against other fiat currencies, so what's happening is an across-the-board debasement in fiat currencies against gold. Really unusual and worrying...

Shitcoins or stablecoins?

Replacement for fiat currencies or rival?

How can we understand the political economy of cryptocurrencies & its implications for global finance, state sovereignty, & the international system?

In this respect, fiat and non-fiat currencies have different advantages and disadvantages.

(I didn’t mention the dreaded initials so the *.*.*. bores won’t turn up in my mentions talking about fiat currencies and whatevs)

Trump is threatening the world to protect the dominance of the US Dollar, yet pushing to make the U.S. a 'Bitcoin superpower', promoting decentralized cryptocurrencies that directly challenge fiat currencies like the Dollar. What am I missing?

Making the argument against fiat currencies by stealth debasement.

Your crypto Senator, Ted.

Oooooof, really talking down about retail, suggests we only can understand fiat currencies lol

The worst argument I still see from coiners and gold bugs is that fiat currencies enable wars.

Most wars were fought when we had currencies backed by commodities or the gold standard.

I’m sure crypto will totally survive global economic collapse. It’s not one of these dirty fiat currencies because it’s backed by… uhhhhhh

Fiat currencies rallying right now.

One example: generally, democracies have enjoyed lower interest rates than monarchies due to their track record of defaulting on debts and debasing their currencies. Anyone making a deal with the Trump admin now has to charge more due to the possibility of default by fiat. 3/4

"Y-yeah I mean. Ofc a gold standard limits your economy if you cannot build proper reserves but uh *gulp* heh uh f-fiat currencies you.. You see big growth but.. Hrng *gasping, panting* sorry um... at the cost of hyperinflation. *pause* You see this uh, THING, happen when countries switch to fiat."
September 19, 2026 at 4:32 PM
Ourselves. It’s how banking works. You need debt for fiat currencies. It’s why all the crypto Bros want decentralized currencies.
August 13, 2025 at 1:52 PM
Right. because most fiat currencies are backed by actual people paying taxes while crypto is backed by...

In 1933 the oligarchs tried to overthrow FDR (Business Plot). This time around they started early, phony fiat currencies made it easier to create a fake dystopian economy and the manufactured "War on Terror" galvanized public support to accept a fascist police surveillance state.
At this point in the long cycle, when the concentration of wealth and power has reached a historical extreme, those at the top always try to overthrow the system to cement their dominance and control for eternity. Same place as 1920s/1930s, 1850s/1860s, late 1700s.
"In this video, The Intellectualist examines whether economic inequality in the U.S. today is worse than pre-revolutionary France. Using Federal Reserve, CBO data, and economic history, we reveal a shocking answer: the wealth gap in America is worse."

If you're extrapolating the demonstrable usefulness of tokenizing fiat currencies (in the form of stablecoins) to other asset classes, please see me after class and bring your analysis.

Even being maximally generous to the crypto idiots, it’s bad at everything it does. It is strictly worse, functionally, than fiat currencies at every single thing except buying drugs on the internet.
September 25, 2025 at 4:37 PM
I always scoff at the term 'crypto industry.' Industries make things, crypto is a money laundering technique.

Producing 'decentralized' fiat currency doesn't add any real wealth to the world, it only devalues other currencies and creates price inflation, as we've seen lately.
Crypto was invented to drain small investors and give the super-wealthy a convenient way to bribe the president.

A use case would be a situation or problem that Bitcoin solves better than fiat currency. What you showed was just three merchants who accept Bitcoin alongside other currencies. Right now the only use case for Bitcoin is paying for ransomware attacks. That, it does better than fiat.
