#ficpromofriday? I'm in.

Mine and @renath.bsky.social 's EW fixationt:
100k of elf and dragon falling in love. Was supposed to be a short pwp, became long and soft. Does still have plenty of... horning.

#ficpromofriday appears to be a thing! here's an svsss offering-- a post-Jin Lan city canon divergence featuring accidentally weaponized wife plots, system infodumping in TTRPG rule format, and Stupid Celestial Feedback Loops.

fic summary: Shang Qinghua, also known as Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky, stared flatly at what had once been a field boasting near sect-level Feng Shui alignment, and the drowned, bloated remains of the Sun and Moon Dew Flower cuttings that had sprouted within it. Their plan was now quite literally a wash. If only he could consult Cucumber Bro on how to save Cucumber Bro! But in the absence of Cucumber Bro, he could but rely on the one plot coupon the infamous Peerless Cucumber had ever applauded.

Secretary Ye’s trouble starts when he meets a certain conductor– no, it begins when he acquires a certain book– no, with an explosion — it begins with a murder.

Personally, I moved my fic promos to Tumblr that first time we almost lost the birdapp, and I'll leave them all there. I repost promos occasionally (I'm making it a ficpromofriday think). I want to reshare some of my crochet properly here, but I don't think I have much to recreate per se.

Touch
26.08.2022

Yibo's heart skips a beat as Xiao Zhan opens his door.

"I hear Xiao-laoshi needs a model for your next artwork. You should pick me."

Or: Loneliness can be pervasive whether surrounded by people or sequestered at the top of a mountain

1. I love the idea of FicPromoFriday
2. Interesting pairing XD
3. This quote "what is it that makes us who we are, wizard? Is it our appearance? Our words? Or our actions? How do you define yourself?"I LOVE THIS. This sounds very philosophical, very much like him, I am absolutely going to read you !

Partial Transcript: The Emperor wondered if he were ever to be permitted peace even in death’s embrace as he heard pieces of the voice more clearly now. “Hmm, this one might be alive, but…reason to be careful…isn’t this…?” Fragments of sentences tugged at his fading consciousness as he felt the cool trickle of sour medicine against his maw. “They mentioned…but…should be dead?... Reports…mistaken…” Something in the tone was familiar. Almost infuriatingly familiar. By all rights this man should be an enemy of sorts, his meddling long interfering with carefully laid plans that couldn’t afford to go to waste. The Emperor swallowed the bitter cure, at least partially grateful even if his saviour was far from his first choice. “Volo…Volothamp…Geddarm.” He forced his mind to press his voice to the man’s own, almost immediately exhausted from the exertion. “Oh, my good fellow! You are not quite through death’s door as yet! And you retain your mind? Your memory?” Volo spoke quickly, excitedly. His volume and enthusiasm were almost enough to want to turn away from life’s guiding light to seek peace instead. But only almost. The Emperor had a drive to survive that would infuriate Jergal himself, had the ancient god desired to guide his soul beyond. “No, no, my apologies - don’t force yourself yet.” He switched from speaking to the cast of a simple spell, Sending allowing for the brief telepathic communication and response. “Is this easier for you? Take your time, let the potion work. I have a scroll that should ease more of your pain soon. Though-” Volo’s verbose nature didn’t serve him well as he ran out of words in the limits of the sending. “You know…who I am…? ” The Emperor spared the erratic wizard the need to continue through more sendings, and spared himself the pain of having to listen to them. Although, it was certainly more comfortable to communicate this way, to save his aching head from a barrage of that exuberant voice.

For the purposes of having a neat catalogue of my AO3 fic, I will re-create my old fic promo posts here, as well as add any new fic promo to this particular sideblog. The newest fic should be at the top.
