Loading a very-nearly 100-year-old Leica
A box of Leica Monopan 50 and a brass FILCA cassette. The Monopan film transferred into the FILCA. The FILCA laid out with a leader trimmer and pocket knife. The film cut and the camera with case and base plate removed and the tongue of the film inserted into the take-up spool.

Fun fact: FILCA cassettes work in the Karmon. I think I can squeeze in ten frames before I give it back...

This one is intended to be used with the original series of Leica cameras with separate rf/vf - Leica M cameras have their own cassettes, at least some do. I don’t think they fit in the latest film cameras.

Well. I managed to respool the Monopan into the FILCA the correct way so that does great increase the chances
Film with base side facing towards where the pressure plate is. And the emulsion side on the inside where the film gate it.

(that white bar, if you saw the negatives, is very clearly no exposure failure. I finally remembered why I'd not used this loaded FILCA yet, it didn't get closed before being removed from the daylight loader.)
