Craven's score for this film is way bigger, and reminds me of the Hellraiser score quite a bit.

Whenever I watch a heist film from before 2000 the score is always significantly less than a house costs now and I start to spiral out

Holy crap.

Has any film ever hit numbers like this? Much less a *documentary*??

(That's no small-sample fluke. Look at the number of reviews/ratings.)

Posters for Grigori Kromanov's 1979 sci fi film, DEAD MOUNTAINEER'S HOTEL. Made in Estonia, one of the most advanced members of the Soviet bloc, & with a script by the Strugutsky brothers, no surprise it's a a groundbreaking sci fi film. Terrific cinematography & a simply extraordinary synth score.

The one of note here though is the Freddy vs. Jason score. Which has to be understood in context. It's not a perfect film by any means. And alongside the Freddy films, it would definitely score lower. But as a Jason film?? Man it's like one of the few that actually has a story!!

The film, in its fully restored version lasting 2 hours and 29 minutes, is a masterpiece.
Don Davis’s fabulous score makes the film even more extraordinary, and he was here in person conducting it!

31 Days of Horror Movie Soundtracks.

"Tubular Bells", Oldfield's contribution. Unmistakable and forever attached to this film. Considered a horror film, the author and director insist it's a story about faith. It is one of the scariest films ever.

THE EXORCIST, score by Mike Oldfield and others.

#NowWatching House (1985)

For Day Fourteen of Hooptober 2026, I was tasked with finding a haunted house/building/room film and a movie that Harry Manfredini did the score for. This is my first time seeing the film since 2023.

The Keep is such a weird film. Almost works as something amazing, film wise. Highly recommend for the strangeness and the score.
