It’s a semi detached so the noise carries along the metal guttering.

The magpie family as usual, lined up at the window and a thorough cross examination involving much warbling as to why there were no scraps in the usual place. I tried to indicate that if they looked around in the back garden there might be surprise waiting for them😁 #FirstBirdOfTheDay #WhatsYours

Brutal! Cockatoos all over the valley. A cacophony of sound this morning which led to the question as we walked in the forest later on, why don’t lyrebirds imitate Sulphur crested cockatoos? Perhaps not the sound you make when trying to attract a mate😁 #FirstBirdOfTheDay #WhatsYours

#FirstBirdOfTheDay a crow cawing on a chimney pot, gets 3 caws back, seconds later a bigger boss crow lands and carries on as the 1st flys off to caw on another perch. Caws now echoing around the neighbourhood. I hope they find what they seek. #Crows

Empty and then filled all the water baths this morning … the water already felt warm so I can see why the birds were all so excited for a morning dip this morning as I walked away.

Red wattlebird enjoying scraps from the roasting pan until Maggie turned up with feathers ruffled and claimed her share of the spoils. The wattlebird retreated to the rose bush and salvias then flew away. #FirstBirdOfTheDay #WhatsYours

A repeat of yesterday, the red wattlebird clutching onto the rose stem and looking in vain for salvias still in flower. It gave up and settled for some soggy breadcrumbs on the ground. So cold and rainy- might feel some comforting carbs just like me🥴 #FirstBirdOfTheDay #WhatsYours
