Grass Carp change as they grow, but key features stay the same. Look for no barbels, low-set eyes, dark-edged scales, and no keel along the belly.

The last time I saw this mystery fish clinging to a drifting #pyrosome was almost exactly a year ago. My best guess is perhaps it’s a young #marine #bream of some sort???
