Most everyone thinks of a stove as a cooktop while one person thought it meant oven.
Also became clear how many synonyms for stove vs oven: stove/range/cooktop/flattop/hob vs... oven and if you're generous furnace/kiln.

Don't forget the double sided grill/flattop and pizza pan with a handle. Doubles as a lid as well. And the old vintage cornbread pan shaped like a corn cob, grandfather's pan I inherited 🥰🥰

Mine would be more effective if we had gas burners, but we have a flattop electric stove. So when I am cooking something like a stir fry chicken, I have to do in batches. Much less the wok's fault than the stove, even if it is a little on the smaller side of woks.

Best diner dessert I ever had, Blue Moon Diner, Charlottesville- the Grillswith. Two Krispy Kreme doughnuts grilled on the flattop with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on each.

There’s a place my wife & I used to get breakfast when we lived actually in Montreal (south shore now) called Cosmo’s & they had these smashed breakfast potatoes they’d cook on the flattop with an irresponsible amount of fat & they had this glorious crispy crust but were essentially mashed potatoes.
