It's turning into a mini-Fleadh with all sections of the community coming together.

Political Unionism, at the behest of Bryson et al, has picked at the sorest sectarian scab of the last 30 years, to create a festering wound. Utterly depressing considering the glimpse of the future we had during the Fleadh. They only wish to drag us back. Solidarity with the residents of Garvaghy.

someone needs to pull them aside and explain why you don't see Germans goosestepping up the Champs-Élysées every June 14th waving their colonialist banners & flags "coz are culture innit".
Plus this moment, during the fleadh, was brilliant.

the only tweak I would suggest for next year would be less colonialist flags & banners and more moments like this👇
this is the lambeg drum, an extraordinary instrument (120+ db) often used in Orange Order/Loyalist parades.
But outside that context, it's actually brilliant and a great fun.

I've seen enough, bring the Fleadh to Dublin.
After walking around for a few others for Fleadh Cheoil, I see why everyone is emotional. Everyone I ran into said the same thing: why can’t it be like this all the time? Unbeatable city, world champions. Fleadh is showing us what and who we can be. Uppa Fleadh indeed.
