#flexible-loads
Ok… so I learned an actual kinbaku tie and this stuff RULES. It’s so flexible and the possibilities are endless. 😤 can’t wait to get loads of practice in

Big surge in curtailment of wind and solar farms in 2025 underlines need for yet more storage, more EVs, and more flexible loads in high renewable grid.

This chart is wild! 🔌💡

It shows how electricity demand from so-called Large Flexible Loads (read bitcoin mining) responds to price spikes in Texas earlier this year.

That grid operators like ERCOT now monitor the bitcoin break-even electricity price is crazy. Like... what are we doing here people?

The Princeton academics being bought up by BP and then producing propaganda for their corporate goals isn't unique. Google does it to many energy think tanks as well, and most recently did it with their work to push the claim that data center hyperscale loads are flexible. It casts a long shadow.

Having a body as big and bountiful as mine takes loads of work. My fat ass gets in the way of moving around and getting up. This sport helps keeps me both flexible and mobile.

Major new energy bill proposed by Governor Healey (MA) would require utilities to "offer a comprehensive flexible interconnection program" for new loads. Section 159: 🔌💡 www.mass.gov/info-details...

Very important caveat: large loads (not just data centers) *can* reduce rates, *in the right circumstances*. If the loads are flexible, if you have enough energy storage online, they can soak up existing slack capacity, reducing per-unit costs. But that is by no means inevitable.

Today on Volts: data centers are typically seen as large, inflexible loads that grids have to build around, which is why it takes them so long to connect to the grid. Emerald AI makes a data center's compute, & thus its power demand, flexible & controllable. I talk with the CEO about how it works.
Making data centers flexible so they can serve the grid rather than stress it out

Another oldie…

I love watching a guy cum on his own face and eat his cum and this was an early attempt to add to that genre. If only I were more flexible and shot bigger loads. 🤣

Late night filing from Chris Wright that could greatly expand federal authority over interconnection -- and fast track the process for flexible large loads. By me for @latitudemedia.bsky.social ⤵️

Jon's top three countries to AVOID on Interrail

🇸🇪Sweden
They can never tell you long enough ahead when track works are planned

🇫🇷France
You need loads of reservations (cost at least €10 each) so can't be flexible

🇪🇸Spain
Like France, but with the added joy of compulsory reservation regional trains

Literally called “flexible loads”.
What do electric buses do at night? They help balance the grid.

First Bus in Glasgow: "By flexing when buses are charged, the depots can increase demand at times when there is excess renewable energy on the system, particularly wind power in Scotland, and reduce demand during peak periods. [1/2]

Today, Vermont already leads in distributed energy resources (DERs): batteries, flexible loads, virtual power plants.

But most of that value stays local.

The opportunity? Get paid by ISO New England for helping the entire region.

I hope this new mii maker iteration sticks around.

Like even ignoring the face painting, it is so much more flexible than ever before.
Loads of new parts is great, but also making them modular, then adding controls to thinks that were locked down before.

If you haven't tried Northshore boosters yet, I can't recommend them enough! Available in loads of different sizes, good adhesive strip, solid absorbency, flexible enough to contour nicely between your legs, not too pricey.

step two: set up a tasrecord script.

This script is a flexible wrapper around a "run ROM + TAS and take a screenshot" core. It just loads up the run, with the TAS, and runs it through to an end, and screenshots the final result.
