well, didn't (modern) pinball derive directly _from_ an actual, flipperless gambling machine? I guess if they invented a "prediction market" where you can only place one bet at a time; only for a fixed, nominal amount; and the only payout you get is flashing lights, I'd be against banning those.

This was one of the original flipperless machines. There are pins nailed into the boards to make the shapes. Hence 'pin' ball.

The bat is a single flipper. They have some pitch and bat games listed, while others are not. The only ones they don't put on are the flipperless woodrails. It's weird, they will list ice cold beer (no flippers), but not Zeeks Peak which is the same game.
