I am beginning to fall in love with light.

A black-and-white macro photograph featuring a luminous white flower petal unfolding in the foreground against an inky black void. In the background, a slender stem bearing unopened buds rises in sharp silhouette, illuminated from behind by a soft, moon-like elliptical glow. High chiaroscuro contrast highlights the delicate, sculpted folds of the translucent blossom

#FlowerFriday: The Last Camelia

Got out in the garden to cut back the overgrown camelia and clipped off the last bloom; used the pic I took as an image ref.

Red rose in side LED light.

Shot on iPhone in RAW, edited on iPad. Mostly a workflow experiment tonight.

Listening to art videos on YouTube gave me the sudden urge to paint. Grabbed my gouache paints and created these four flower studies with no plan - just pure creative flow ✨

#qp Alstroemeria Reverie
Delicate chaos, where each petal tells a secret in ink and blush.

A tightly arranged cluster of Alstroemeria blooms dominates the composition, bathed in soft, diffused light. The petals are dramatic—creamy white at the base, transitioning into streaks and splashes of vivid fuchsia, crimson, and golden yellow near the center. Fine maroon filaments and amber-colored anthers rise from within each flower like slender brushstrokes. The overlapping petals curl outward with subtle irregularities, adding to the texture and liveliness of the bouquet. The background is an unobtrusive gradient of cool grays and warm taupes, blurring gently into painterly softness, which highlights the rich color contrasts of the blooms. The overall mood is contemplative, elegant, and slightly nostalgic, evoking the stillness of classical botanical studies. Keywords: Alstroemeria, Peruvian lily, floral macro, moody still life, soft light, magenta petals, botanical study, painterly background, flower texture, garden elegance, close-up bloom, romantic tones Created using Midjourney and my Echoform™ prompt structure. The original render was saved as a JPEG in Lightroom to optimize file size. This is a complete, unedited image. Use is permitted for non-commercial creative projects.

Floral studies of chrysanthemums and dahlias. I adore how their flower heads look like they only just woke up, hair still untidy. Each of them acts like a distinct personality.
