There are small green buds the size of a cumin seed in groups down the stem. The flowers appear no more than 2 cm wide. The edges of the flower are rippled and a dark line or fold runs down the centre of each petal. The centre has no stamens but appears as a deep hole and is also edged in white.

#Liriope #purpleflowers #notnativetoaustralia #flowerswhilewalking I think they also call this Fortnight Lily. Sat down on my way to the bus just so I could share this with you.
Photo of most of my hand, palm up, diagonally across the space. Pinned between my 2nd and 3rd fingers is a stem of Liriope flowers. There stem is almost the length of my hand and is around 3mm thick. In 1.5cm intervals are groups of blooms. Some are only buds while others are open. The whole thing is a light purple with bright yellow stamens. The flowers have 6 petals. In the background grey tiles and also a portion of my dress that is orange, lilac and white patterned.

They are light to moderate green and have a bold centre vein with diagonal veins coming alternately off it. The edges of the leaves are serrated. There is also tangled brown dead vegetation.
