A demo from a while ago of video mosaicing* different Raw Green Rust performances using the FluCoMa toolkit in @cycling74.bsky.social #maxmsp. It's low framerate here as I was capturing and compressing while I was playing, but I quite like the effect. *by calculating frame index from analysed audio

I like working with FluCoMa. Good documentation, support, and small but active community, imo

yeah FluCoMa is also amazing, hoping to take one of Ted Moore's workshops sooner or later.

caught flucoma from a bitwig and that’s the reason the reaper is coming for me, that’s just logic—to the max

I couldn’t get Reacoma to work for some reason. I did download Flucoma as well but it didn’t stick for me. I should try it again as I know some of the people who worked on it and I have students who really dug into it also!

I agree, but I don’t think it’s a distinction the majority of people will make once this bubble bursts.

Here’s a video that will show you max and a set of tools for it called flucoma that uses neural networks.

oeeee c très stylé j'ai découvert a travers les outils FluCoMa et le device M4L Mosaïque (mosaique-fr.cargo.site) mais j'ai pas encore trop bidouillé

Have you tried it yet? Flucoma and Reacoma are pretty much my favorite projects in the past few years. So much so that often I just spend my time de/reconstructing sound and not composing anything

It's a piece by a friend, I'll check if he has it!
SP-Tools is based on FluCoMa, I believe. There's a whole new world there. With a large sound bank, you can re-synthesize or concatenate basically any sound. The possibilities are endless.

I found some cool example patches that Richard Devine shared on the flucoma website and although there wasn't anything super different about the slicing setup to what I was trying, there was a good layout of exposed settings for all the different slicing objects which made it easy to quickly try […]

I was getting really groggy at this point so maybe a second pass today could help, I was really rushing into it all impatiently without taking the time to read up more out watch some of the helpful tutorials on their site.
But also I'm curious if anyone else has messed with FLUCOMA and auto […]

I was using the FLUCOMA library, I got everything working basically, all the most complicated parts (I thought). Then I realized the slicing part was really not working well, I was fidling with all the different slicing types and modes but none of them were making slices I was really happy with […]

ReaCoMa is probably what you're thinking of, it's a port of FluCoMa scripts to Reaper.. allows for some fun and unique non-real time slicing processes, both horizontal and vertical.. uh.. probably more complicated than will fit in a thread here. I'll DM you..
