other than fma and shaman king i think i missed all the early shounen? havent seen OP or bleach, only 3 or so episodes of naruto. tbh i don't even know if fma2003 is considered pure shounen

The Nina arc was so much more impactful in 2003 ! Also the fight vs Greed was very good!
I saw fma2003 15 years or so ago so my memory is hazy, but I remember it having a more serious vibe than brotherhood

my parents actually liked watching anime with me when i was a kid and never tried to encourage me to out grow it. fruits basket is still my mom’s favorite and she remembers a startling amount of fma2003’s plot. my dad liked yugioh because there were black people in it.

For years I was told Brotherhood was superior to FMA2003 my beloved and then I watched it and it was... Okay. It rushes through the set up so it can diverge and be manga accurate and that really hurt it as a show. 2003 has issues but it is complete in a way Brotherhood just isn't.

Eso es básicamente FMA tras el fin de la película del Conquistador de Shambala en la que Al y Ed acaban varados en medio de la Europa de Entreguerras y se deja un final medio abierto agridulce (también te digo que FMA2003 es bastante más agridulce que Brotherhood)

I also feel like this holds true for the most part with the EDs but tbh those are way more hit or miss in general so it's less fun to compare them lol, I do remember FMA2003 having two EDs that worked with the whole "ED starts playing before the episode ends"

I'mma be real if you put FMA2003's openings up against FMAB's, 2003 kinda clears soooo easy it's kinda funny
