#JulyForestChallenge July 31: The Forest Fool, last of the ancient tricksters, mask ever-changing
The forest speaks through veils of silence

A mysterious figure sits in a lush, moss-covered forest, dressed in a flowing, black, tattered robe speckled with gold dust and draped in strands of vivid yellow moss. Their face is entirely concealed by a long, wooden, bird-like mask with narrow eye holes and a gaping mouth slit. The texture of the mask resembles weathered bark, blending with the surrounding environment. One gloved hand is raised slightly, fingers curled in a subtle, ambiguous gesture—somewhere between beckoning and warning. Ferns arch around the figure in rich green waves, while the background reveals towering, moss-hung trees bathed in diffused forest light. The atmosphere is heavy with stillness, as though the forest is holding its breath. Keywords: moss costume, forest spirit, horror folklore, veiled figure, eerie woods, woodland entity, dark mask, cryptid aesthetic, ambient dread, ritual attire, moss-covered forest, haunted presence Created using Midjourney and my Echoform™ prompt structure.
