Beautiful ! I read somewhere that dandelion began as 'dents de lion' lion's teeth, to describe it's yellow flower. It also features prominently in Irish Folklore. As children, we used it to tell the time. 😉
Dandelion, in my native Scots is 'wild william' or 'witch-gowan'. In Cumbrian dialects, it's 'dog-posy' and 'pissibed'. The floating seeds are called 'fairies' and it's lucky to catch one.

September’s Folklore (136:3) features two of my reviews on books about the social supernatural & the persistence of paganism. Both richly worth the doing. Some splendid other stuff too! 😉

Time to brush up on my Latiné folklore and dive into these increíble stories tackling issues like immigration and colonization. ¡No molestar mientras leo!

This oyster shell -let's call it Olaf ⛄️😉- and I, wish you a great weekend.
(There was a pea crab in it and an old folklore tradition says that finding a pea crab inside your oyster brings you good luck. So let's hope for better days 🤞)

In Icelandic folklore there is a giant, fearsome black cat known as the Yule cat. He strikes fear into the hearts of the villagers...kinda like this

Justice for Evermore!! 😉 out of the two sister albums, I actually prefer Evermore to folklore
I am a firm believer that if evermore came out before folklore then it wouldn't be the least favourite child
