#footwell
Remembered that I forgot to vote, found my ballot in the car, drove 30 minutes back into my home county to drop it off, recent trash goblin habit of just letting the mail accumulate in the passenger footwell now completely justified

That won’t work.
It has to be in the footwell 🤷‍♂️

Today left at 13.00.
M6 pretty clear. Journey predicted to be 4.5 hrs (sans stops for charging.)
Pretty much happened.
Got to extract Sushi from cattery with 20 mins to spare! "Saving" me £13 if I hadn't got there until tomorrow!
Tin with Sushi's dry food fell over in car contents all over footwell!

We called a friend’s one “The Mobile Swimming Pool” because the passenger footwell was so wet.

This changed to “Mobile Pond” when the algae and moss came.

post a picture of the first car you ever drove

mine was a VW Beetle, 1961 or earlier, because it had a lever in the footwell which you flipped over when the engine started to stutter, to switch to the reserve gas tank, so you'd better find a gas station sooner than later

even with a mismatched engine cowling

even in an aisle seat

even in that ancient Collins Diamond with zero privacy and a minuscule footwell — a seat whose launch i remember covering as a young (sob) junior journalist mumbleteen years ago

the 747 is just a privilege to enjoy… especially upstairs

Yep. On my screen the entire a pillar was wrinkled and kissing the passenger seat and the entire front right of the van was smooshed into the footwell of the passenger compartment.

Though my mum once trod on some wood with a 6 inch nail. It went straight through her foot and out the top. She pulled it out then limped to the car with us kids and drove to the hospital. The footwell was awash..

Throwback to when I tested the 2026 GWM Haval H7 Vanta. Three child seats across row two, a side-by-side double pram fits in the boot, and a 186cm driver fits in front of a rear-facing capsule. Nice flat rear footwell too 👍

I yell for the old man and he comes running from the garage, sees me, sees Hank in the passenger footwell suffocating, and doesn't ask any questions. Thirty seconds after Hank ate that yellow jacket we were speeding to Doc Blanchard's hell for leather.

Mine travel in the footwell. Don't want undesirables eyeing up my stash.

The hills poking through it could have been islands; the rooftops, drowned towns. All at once, we were in it, and something unseen hit our windshield hard enough that it needed replacing.

When I got home - rather shaken - I looked down at my feet and saw the pin, pressed into the footwell carpet.

Small taper at the base, so they’re lifted from the surface & gives a natural end point for the glaze. Either flat base or a shallow footwell, wide-ish foot and 45° angle on the inside of the foot. Maker’s mark at the base closest to the handle.

10 Years Old and Another MoT

Well the 124 Spider needed an MoT and annual service so I took it to the nearest main dealer again at 43,493 miles from new, up 1,305 on last year and at a cost of a little under £500 in total. I had to do some maintenance on it the day before its service as when I got in after some storms recently the driver's side footwell had some water beside the seat.

i gotta find out where all that cottony stuff came from. hopefully a fender liner insulator or something cheap and not like the inside of a seat. i lifted the rug in the passenger footwell and the jute seems intact. hoping that means they are only in the engine and haven't got to the inside...yet.

With the photo being of the package in the footwell of the van or better yet their finger.

I landed in the footwell of the front nearside seat, with a gash on my head.
I could just as easily had physics been slightly differently aligned, have gone through the windscreen.
FFWD 15 years, a seatbelt saved (ha) my life.

In the test, there was footwell intrusion indicative of a likely foot/lower leg injury.

But that was almost certainly due to the extra length of the diesel engine, and a regular gas car wouldn't have had that problem.

"you'll think differently after you've been driving at 60mph for seven and a half days across one state" no I won't, I will smash a warm-to-boiling Diet Coke & throw the can in the footwell like a normal person after it explodes in my face. I am not an F1 driver I don't need my disgusting bev by IV
