Because the people at the top with all the money and power did an excellent job of persuading those at the bottom that all their problems were as a result of 'foreigners' and tapped straight into that deep seam of entitlement and yes, racism. They've yet to understand it was a lie.

Also, I wouldn't know how to get my bike and gear onto a charter flight. But there is one big obstacle to bikepacking by foreigners in Finland: SJ, the openly cyclist-hating Swedish rail operator.

I met one of them in Zagreb. Seemed like a very cool young woman working in a cool Museum. Then she started telling me how awful Britain, was based on having lived in Manchester. "Full of foreigners and gender ideology," was her verdict. She was glad to be back in Croatia. 😬

Good. Increased public pressure will help push back on these thugs who seem to believe they can get away with killing foreigners and endangering life.

This is literally what MAGA wanted, fewer foreigners they would have to share air with. I'm surprised anyone is still surprised that USA is shooting itself in the foot, that was the intent. The pain is considered worth the price of sharing ANYTHING.

Nothing mind boggling about it when we have lawless thugs throwing foreigners in prison camps, abusing them for months then deporting them to countries different than their home country.

More broadly, Burnham’s speech marks first serious effort to confront 🇬🇧 problems in years - not blaming it on foreigners, migrants, the EU etc, but decades of poor choices by our own cowardly politicians. His honesty was refreshing, and merits respect - but it’s a HUGE challenge to deliver.

It’s not mind-boggling. It’s a government that is telling the world it doesn’t want foreigners and will detain or shoot them. It’s mind-boggling that anyone would want to visit the US under the current regime.

Those who profess Christianity & hate foreigners are lying hypocrites✔️😡. The Bible is very clear on how we are to treat foreigners, travelers, visitors as well as other human beings. "Love one another as I have loved you" JOHN 13:34 & 35. I guess they never read that part🤔🙄
"They who say that we should love our fellow-citizens but not foreigners, destroy the universal brotherhood of mankind, with which benevolence and justice would perish forever." ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero
