A few days ago, I presented some of the preliminary results of my first study at UIBK! With #EVESNAT, we are working on simulating the effect of NbS scenarios on Tyrolean and South Tyrolean forests, based on stakeholders' inputs.

Some days of fieldwork in the Stubai Valley to study broadleaves expansion in conifer forests! Yesterday, an abandoned larch meadow, now colonized by hazelnut.
These data will be used to better calibrate our virtual forests in #iLand

Following the ‘sustainability line’, not only our Forest Ecosystem Model, the 3D-CMCC-FEM is open-source, modular and with a user guide. Now we have a nice book to dive into the model equations and code development since this modelling journey started!
