Jeff Parker — Forfolks (2021)

Jeff Parker『Forfolks』

Jeff Parker is coming to Berkeley in a few weeks
Been wanting to see his band for a long time. His music transports me to a meditative state; it’s magnetic and unlike anything else I listen to regularly
I like his albums (Forfolks rules) but the live stuff is great. Check out their Tiny Desk jam

“Something about Jeff's 'Suffolk' reminded me of waking up at four in the morning so that we could catch that sun rise, then napping until 4 pm so that we could ready for sunset. Our film depended on being sensitive to and present for the orbit of our planet, the loop around the sun."

The Way Out Of Easy et Forfolks de Jeff Parker sont super !

I gave Forfolks a fresh chance and folks, it finally clicked with me. Feels amazing. I guess it was just too low-key, too monochrome for me at the time, wanting more Jeff Parker ETA IVtet stuff, but man.. this hits good right now.

For a lot of the past year or two, I've mostly been listening to the same four records by Jeff Parker over and over again: The New Breed, Suite for Max Brown, Forfolks and The Way Out of Easy.
