There's a place on the southern Oregon coast where rocks line up in the ripples of an ancient beach that's 25 million years old. I lived 2 blocks up the street from this and often had the place to myself.

At the very southern end of Fossil Point beach, there is a shelf of land on the left that is a fused mix of shells and fossils and rocks. Hard as concrete. Low tide only.
