Nearly #pink. My addition to the #mixedmedia52 #artchallenge. I #upcycled a chocolate box.
Love the #knob for the box.
#AlphabetChallenge #WeekKforKn It's a #bourbon bottle cork.

An upcycled box that had found items glued on top and was painted in black, then white highlights and then the pink-violet. Some gold paints highlighted the stars and other areas . A bourbon bottle cork was glued on the front flap for a knob.

Work in progress. Really love this duo. I think this will be my best work yet. I may just be able to call myself an artist some day :)

oooooh you know you've found something fun when the box won't tell you what it is

(also tagging ephemera because the packaging absolutely is!)

A very dark blue, almost black box, rectangular, with Du Pont Performance Products in white italic type slightly overlapping a square grid of variably sized dots. Underneath is the motto, "Chemicals to Enhance Your Product's Performance" and the Du Pont logo.

It's OXYGEN DESTROYER!

Okay, no, it's Vydax fluorotelemer dispersion. I don't know what might've been in it. The cap still has the seal.

A glass bottle showing sediment fallout labelled VYDAX(R) WD / fluorotelemer dispersion / vapor heavier than air / reduces oxygen available for breathing / contents may be under pressure / open carefully

It's certainly interesting that they sold little enough of this that they dot-matrix-printed the product label.

It's from 1986! March 27th, 1986. We missed its 40th birthday, dang.

#dupont #mysterychemicals #founditems
The left side of the label on the bottle, shot from a little further back to show the seal still on the cap and also to show the layering of the contents. The side has the data on it, along with Lot 50 and Du Pont Performance Products, with the same grid logo as on the box, just all in white.
