It's looking so good! Getting real Robocop/FreeJack era vibes, which is always a good thing.

How old am I?

I’m the perfect age to have once uttered the following sentence:

“Wait, the guy in Freejack is the singer of The Rolling Stones??”

0 days since a tech billionaire last directly connected their worldview to villains in sci-fi action movies.

Of course this blobfish of a man would want to Freejack his way to immortality.
A recent securities filing spotlighted what triggered Mark Zuckerberg’s months-long power battle with board directors at Meta — a fight that sparked not-so-veiled threats from Zuckerberg and led board members to contemplate quitting.
Zuckerberg can control Meta after death. He refused to give up that power.
The Meta CEO can control the company from beyond the grave. He refused to give up that power.

That’s not actually implied here I added the freejack aspect myself. But “no I want to retain my stocks after I’m dead” tells me he doesn’t think death is on the table.

I can’t believe you have so little faith in the Freejack model of dealing with seemingly-fatal airborne racecar disasters.

Freejack
Nemesis
Glimmers of brilliance in mostly-bad 90s cyberpunk movies. Shit, throw Fortress in there, too.

Freejack took place in 2009

I do too. There's a channel on satellite that shows these vids 24/7 from every car testing facility all over the world. The Viper was my fave. Did the whole Freejack movie with Emilio Estevez into the overpass thing.

Drop a film you watched on a first date, if you feel like it.

Seriously … I remember Freejack ONLY because Mick Jagger was in it. As I recall, he was a bad guy. Beyond that, I could not tell you much about the plot.

I enjoyed Freejack so much that I wrote about it. How could you not? Mick Jagger, man!
90s Action Movies Don’t Get More 90s Than Freejack With Mick Jagger — and That’s a Compliment
Sometimes you just need a silly, fun action movie to unwind with. The more serious ones obviously need your attention from time to time…

Watching Freejack tonight and I'm reminded of just how damn goofy fun this movie is.

If just for Jagger alone!

Freejack had that New York Doll singer in it. Same dude was a Christmas ghost cabbie in another flick. Hardcore

Runaway also had Gene Simmons playing a villain in an over the top manner. Not to be confused with "Freejack", which had Mick Jagger playing a villain in an over the top manner.

Jerry Hall had to pretend to be convinced by Anthony Hopkins' accent in Freejack, she's clearly traitor material

Scanning list for Freejack…

Geoff Murphy is a b movie guy i’ve always dug.

Freejack and Young Guns 2 were junior high constants and Fortress 2 is dumb fun.

Director Geoff Murphy went on to direct stuff in Hollywood like YOUNG GUNS 2, FREEJACK, and UNDER SIEGE 2. His biggest success was actually doing second unit directing work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He passed on 2018 at the age of 80. #cultshelf

Guy who’s favorite movie is Freejack

*”Satisfaction” comes on the radio*

“Hey, isn’t this that guy who was in Freejack?”
September 23, 2026 at 9:50 AM
Back then it was… well to be fair we’d already had Bladerunner and Alien. And Robocop was only three years away (two for Aliens). So it wasn’t great. But we made do with what we had.
Do Freejack (1992) next, it had Mick Jagger.
