Up late jamming some new tunage that I've acquired over the last week. Was glad to see this when I got back on Insta. New Wax is always good. Got the sweet swag pack, too.

Maybe I can post this now without crashing.

Into the 2nd LP on this one. Such a fun record.

I have yet to catch this man live...

Unless Discogs deleted one of my albums (it's happened several times), this is number 1,500 into the collection. A long.. strange trip, indeed.

Blasting this, dabbing up and stuff.

My mother bought this record when I was little. Introduced me to words that I had to look up in a dictionary. Remember those. Needless to say I learned a lot about sex from the dictionary. HAIR. Fav track, Shakespeare “what a piece of work is man”

I went record shopping today. Spinning the first one out of the satchel right now. Didn't know what to expect here. I'm liking what I'm hearing so far, a few songs in.

When you want to simulate listening to music next to a crackling fire, just throw on a picture disc. Why I don't seek out many of them. A Fucking solid album still sounds decent enough though.

I'm onto another album. This one is a solid listen. My favorite song on this is "My First Knife Fight". It was the one that turned me on to this band. Think it played after a Monolord album.

Kronos Quartet
White Man Sleeps (1987, Nonesuch)

The stuffy, powdered wig classical establishment resents this group for success achieved outside the conventional boundaries. No need to fight it. The path forward is forward.

Kurt Weill, Bertolt Brecht, Lotte Lenya
The Threepenny Opera

Originally performed in 1928, Lotte Lenya wanted to recreate the original with as many of the og performers as she could find in 1958. She did it. It is beyond amazing. She also did the same with Mahogany.

Frank Zappa
Lumpy Gravy (1968, Verve)

The 1st non-Mothers album, in fact FZ doesn't play on it himself (contractual dodge.) His role was simply composer, arranger, conductor, producer, engineer, tape editor... Among the greatest albums of the 60s.
