(Warning, Wonton's origin story is horrifying and really upsetting, but at least you have the advantage of knowing she turned out great).

Bam is still janky and will need surgery. See alt text. #FriendsOfBear @friendsofbear.bsky.social
Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats Bamboozle update 🩶 - still all janked up from torso down - still incontinent - still a happy, adorable, FAST lil menace next Friday he has a recheck with the orthopedist where we'll decide if we're amputating just the left leg or both legs. then surgery the following week 😭 Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · Oct 10 He gets around alright but is obviously dragging the left leg that's crunched up against his body, and the right leg still just sticks out, he can't bend it, so it gets in his way and I imagine the stiff muscles don't feel great Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · Oct 10 once he has his surgery, I'm going to start trying diapers for him and other coverings that would reduce the friction on the parts of his body he drags around Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · Oct 10 we had hoped his condition would maybe improve as he got older but weren't necessarily expecting it considering the severity and weirdness. Luckily Bam doesn't know he's any different and he keeps up with the other kittens pretty well Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · Oct 10 I'd be lying if I said I don't want to vomit thinking about him going through a surgery and then the aftermath. but he's a resilient little guy and really is a normal playful kitten otherwise so I think he'll handle it well (I won't) Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · 23h Bam says thank you for the love and well wishes! Will update after his appointment next FridayFriends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · 23h Bam says thank you for the love and well wishes! Will update after his appointment next Friday

Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · Oct 10 Honey and Hero are doing well! Honey had her appointment yesterday to find out if she needed surgery for her broken jaw but luckily, the dentist said she's already healing it well herself with minimal misalignment. No surgery needed! yay!! Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · Oct 10 other than her broken jaw, she has a fracture of her zygomatic arch (cheekbone area) which will also heal over time. She's still on pain meds while she heals. She's in good spirits! Hero's URI is finally getting better! Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats · Oct 10 less happy news: they most likely have ringworm which is sad, mostly for me because I just deep cleaned after the last ringworm crew but it's fine I'm fine

Elizabeth @ComeGetYourCat · 22h Skiff is loving her new home! I can't get a single still picture because she is very busy and important. She stops for pets sometimes then gets right back at it. She will be meeting her kitty siblings soon but has already bonded with the 3 of us humans and we love her so much!

Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats Sweet babies Honey and Hero 🤍 Honey is showing improvement, the swelling is down more and she seems comfy with her pain meds. but the best medicine of all is snuggles from her brother Hero 🖤 Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats last night was the first time she's leaned into pets. Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats 21h Little sister from last night has been released from the hospital! She has several pelvis fractures and a broken jaw, but is looking better than she did last night. She's on several meds to keep her comfy while her body does its magic healing that kitten bodies tend to do Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats 21h she's very sore and just needs time and pain relief and lots of TLC, and her brother's cuddles Friends of Bear Cat Rescue @feederofcats her jaw may need intervention, I have to get another opinion on that on Monday, but for now her pain meds are keeping her comfy (zooted) and she's eating. her brother didn't touch his food last night but as soon as she returned today, he ate like he's been starving 😭
