Like with the neural-network model class, we could try random policy search in the model class of policies represented by lookup tables. This actually works on 4x4 FrozenLake, but scales poorly, and doesn't work at all even on 8x8 FrozenLake. How can we do better?

Applying it to neural networks like we used in the previous notebook needs a few extra tweaks, so we will start first with a discrete grid-world environment called FrozenLake. This will let us use a simpler model class, lookup tables.

During a winter vacation last year, I crossed a frozen lake and found this guy under the ice. No idea who is or how he ended up there. Should I go back to find him now that it's the warm season? #maleASFR #gayASFR #ASFR #ice #freeze #frozen #ColdPlay #winter #FrozenLake #nude #man #male

A photo manipulation of a man frozen in ice under the surface of a lake in winter. The man is nude with his head towards the camera. Long dark hair surrounds his head.

Dark cracks spread across the smooth snow-covered ice on Lake Michigan, specifically at "the playpen" behind long breakwaters. A line of clouds rises from the horizon.

*THROWBACK ALERT!* A solitary figure stands frozen at the center of a vast lake as cracks spread beneath—fragile silence in a hazy, ethereal world. Fragile situations. #FrozenLake #Photography #FragileSituations [Originally posted: 2012-11-05]
