They have been importing fuel for some time now from India and Kazakhstan, and possibly from other countries as well.

Meanwhile, here is a copy of the bipartisan US law that makes it illegal to import fuel from Russia:

We're importing diesel from Russia. Repairing their refineries. Funding their war against Ukraine.

Treason at the highest level, and Republicans have no objection.

Vote them out.

And no. The amount of fuel we will get from them won't affect fuel prices here.

Congress just passed a law to sanction any country that buys russian fuel.

And the next country that tries to buy russian fuel is the US !!!

Russia doesn't have any diesel to sell. They are importing it themselves.

Trump is working for Putin.

Trump says America is now importing diesel fuel from Russia. "America First," amiright?

putin has fed the U.S. president yet another pack of lies and bullshit. russia is now importing fuel, and fuel exports are banned until 2027.🤦‍♂️
President Trump:

"I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November,

Trump announces deal to import Russian diesel.

Yet he imposed tariffs on China and India for importing fuel from Russia.

3 weeks ago signed law threatening 500% tariffs on India and China.

Now facing midterm election defeat ... and

Utter bankruptcy of Trump foreign, economic and other policies.
Trump announces deal for Russian diesel as Zelensky calls it a 'gift to Putin'
Ukraine's president sharply criticised the move, calling it an "investment in war that must be ended, not prolonged".

Today, we're bypassing our own sanctions to convince voters we will get Diesel fuel from Russia that Putin isn't going to send anyway because he's already importing it since he needs it so badly.
October 9, 2026 at 7:25 PM
In other news: Remember when the Republicans demanded that Biden stop buying oil from Putin? I do.

The hypocrisy is staggering. Today Trump said, The United States is now importing fuel from Russia! WTF? Trump clearly supports Putin. He wants Ukraine to lose. He wants America to lose!

- quality of fuel (very bad, less refining trying to meet the output volumes needed, but destroying engines in mass)

- transportation costs and capabilities for ports to make these export demands

- russia is actually importing fuel now, from where they can

Ruzzia importing thousands of tons of fuel & ruzzians only allowed to fill up 20L at gas stations.

Wheater ruzzia in reality can supply the fuel or not - they are importing from India and China is another matter!
But a clear signal has been sent from US.
October 10, 2026 at 6:26 AM
Because of Trump's war of choice with Iran, which has sent gas and diesel prices soaring, we are now importing fuel from Russia -- which is at war with our ally Ukraine and is one of Iran's top supporters.

Russia is importing diesel and gas from Thailand and India because of domestic shortages. Where the hell are they going to get "extra" fuel?
I call BS.
October 10, 2026 at 8:07 PM
Huh. So Thom Tillis thinks that Trump is breaking the law by importing diesel fuel from russia. So add that to the articles of impeachment? Will he vote to convict if he's impeached? 🤔
October 11, 2026 at 2:23 PM
Now square the circle of Trump agreeing Diesel deal with Russia and Russia simultaneously importing Diesel to alleviate its own fuel shortages. 🤷‍♀️

Putin hopes to dangle development deals in front of Kushner and Witkoff to lift U.S. sanctions. He made some progress when Trump announced that the US would be importing diesel fuel from Russia. But most sanctions remain in effect, and Congress passed legislation to strengthen them. wapo.st/47gE6Rf

Ok the United States is the world’s no. 1 exporter of diesel. It will remain so even as we begin importing Russian diesel.

So I put my word problem skills from Miss Heasty’s 8th grade math class to work to quantify this absurdity….

russia is itself importing diesel fuel now.
October 9, 2026 at 7:59 PM
Trump promises 1.5 BILLION gallons of Russian diesel. Meanwhile, Russia's diesel production is down nearly 30%, its refineries are damaged, and it's importing fuel from South Korea.

Where are the tankers? Where's the verified agreement?

You can't fuel America's trucks with a press release.
October 9, 2026 at 7:17 PM
Trump won't even consider importing oil, fuel, diesel from Canada because they were mean to him.
October 12, 2026 at 3:07 AM
He's buying *something*. But Russian refineries have been too damaged and it is now importing fuel, buying back its own crude from other countries that've processed it.
