A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker is captured from a low, almost directly beneath angle as it flies overhead with its landing gear deployed. The matte gray fuselage, refueling boom housing, and four underwing engines are all sharply defined. “U.S. AIR FORCE” markings, tail number, and the Air Force Reserve Command tail band are visible. The aircraft is framed against a soft blue sky streaked with thin, diffuse clouds, giving the tanker a dramatic, looming presence above.
