If 9/11 survivors did get #radiationsickness. We would get additional benefits for radiation exposure: #Chernobyl #fukashima #hiroshima #nagasaki #bikiniatoll could have similar finger prints. There is no cure for radiation sickness. The clock is ticking. All funds WILL go to ALL 9/11 survivors!

Freight train or a missile? Seems like a missile has more force. And of course look at Fukashima- water destroyed plenty of that complex and they are still putting out radioactive waste. Nuclear energy is the wrong thing for the planet.

A country also known for dishonesty. How's that Fukashima leak going these days?

Now where have I heard all this before?
Oh yeah, the private company TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Corporation) at Fukashima Daiichi generating station.
It's like a copy paste job.

The greens would ditch Nuclear power, making is vulnerable to power issues - as Germany is (who then imports French nuclear generated electricity!!), and its stance is rooted in ignorance about waste and "scary radiation chernobyl fukashima".

I think if a cleaner can move so fast as to make charging £150 for five seconds work viable, they should send them over to Chernobyl or Fukashima to clean up some of that nuclear gubbins. A cleaner moving at that pace should be able to avoid the radiation and be back home in time for elevenses.

The Fukashima earthquake and nuclear disaster (2011) turned public opinion in many nations away from atomic energy.Yet several hadn't closed all their plants and in light of the severe summer heat and the debacle at Hormuz, some like Spain are revamping their nuclear facilities which were yet open.
August 18, 2026 at 10:07 PM
Fukashima was an old plant in a bad location that wasn't safety engineered well enough. New plants are much much safer.

Japan commits horrific animal abuse for profit, slaughtering whole pods of dolphins & feeding them to their kids in school lunch programs.

Why is it surprising that Japan is morally bankrupt as a country?

Oh, & there's that pesky Fukashima thing, still dumping Cesium 11 into the ocean for YEARS.

I've been seeing Fukashima Cat Island (深島) all over Japanese media lately.

Yet outside Japan, almost nobody seems to be talking about it.

Had you heard of this island before today?👇

Maybe Volunteers?

I co-founded a virtual org that w/thousands of volunteers from 15 countries for the Haiti earthquake, Pakistani & Alabama floods, Fukashima.

We had CrisisCamps in the DC area based on the BarCamp model every weekend for 5 months. But there were HADR folk!

@shoehead.itch.io gave a warboy theme for my next speed paint experiment. Went into this with brown, orange and white. Gave myself 60min to force the adhd brain goblins to engage with it.

Learning heaps and happy with the results.

This is interesting. Europe, France, Spain, England has always had extremely high temperatures. Most abandoned their nuclear power plants after Fukashima.

I always laugh at how the nuclear advocates try to belittle the impacts of Chernobyl, Fukashima ad even Three Mile Island with comments like 'so few people were killed there'!

Yeah, for sure there are more deaths from coal power, and the BigOIl world. BUT....

We’re looking at a future nuke disasters that will make Fukashima and Chernobyl seem like mild disturbances to someone’s lunch hour.
Last summer, “officials from the Dept of Energy gathered” to discuss “nuclear energy…The meeting was convened by 31-year-old lawyer Seth Cohen” who had “entered govt thru Elon Musk’s [DOGE] * ‘Assume the [Nuclear Regulatory Commission] is going to do whatever we tell [them] to do,’ he said…” 1/

I know they are stating it is going to be a bad El Nino for ocean warming cycle. If you look at where it seems to emit from, my old Fukashima concerns flare up again. Just like the heat radiating out from that area, which is affecting the entire pacific ocean & beyond. Did they ever plug that leak?
