I've known like six people personally who grew up in full-on communist households and went on to become cops or prosecutors or similar. Like how so many socialists and communists and so on I know come from fundagelical conservative homes, just how it goes

And the argument generally made by the crazy fundagelical churches in my area was that once you accepted "public assistance," as a concept, you were then dependent upon the whims of whatever Godless Commernist ended up in the White House, and it was better to not accept the funding at all.

Former fundagelical here - whether or not they believe Trump is the actual Antichrist - many believe he will hasten the EndTimes and for that reason alone, support him. They believe the pushback against the greater "god fearing" GOP in power will usher in the chaos they seek.
