I may have taken the long route, racking up 36 miles on a trip to the grocery store that's about two miles from home. "Funduro" indeed.

A little surgery on the 2001 Funduro. (F650 gs)

Tachometer was just ticking back and forth and mileage gauge blanking out on startup sequence.

This is/was a common issue with fried out capacitor on the board.

Love my #mitas e07 50/50 tires so much that I grabbed another set for the #funduro.

They run smooth on tarmac even through turns, but handle sand and mud like beast knobbies.

It’s got a basic Shimano groupset, 30mm XC forks & looking back, pretty rubbish.

It was a gateway drug, I was getting hooked.
I entered a Funduro on this, an Enduro race which encourages novice riders. I crashed 100m into stage 1 but I had a Valentino Rossi top so all good.

Had great fun. 😁

There's a range of them. You got the original carburrtted ones, the funduro and the ST. Difference between those two is year, front wheel and farings mainly. The later 'gs' models are fuel injected and the. 'dakar' model has higher suspension and a 21" frot wheel. Road use any will do, just. . . .

Funduro! My blue bomber is a 2001 just turned over 18,000 miles and still rides like a champ on and off road.
