My earliest memory, my divorced dad took me and my brothers to Lakewood's FUNTOWN in 1964. This was immediately before Six Flags Over Georgia opened in 1967. I was six-years-old and had a great time. When MLK and his family were blocked from entering it meant something to me. I knew it was WRONG

Would always be funny at Funtown when I'd invite people from my other circles, but then just lead them upstairs to some corner of the house. Like sure we'll go rejoin the party later. Then seeing who else would come find us, like yeah there's a whole lot of BS going on imma chill in here with y'all.

There is a ride in Maine called The Astrosphere which is a Scrambler in a dome where they turn on the black light and project weird shit on the walls while ELO's "Fire on High" is playing. Felt like being sent to another dimension (warning: strobe)): www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s6H...

Went to Funtown yesterday for 7 hours (a little amusement park in Maine). I didn't see a single maga shirt/hat. Plenty of American flag gear, but nothing over the top.
Quite the difference from last year.

TV room's production is always so full of fun sounds and wild harmonies and instrument lines, while also really leaning into electronic production, like with the drums for example. lots of neat instrumentation choices too like sometimes having real piano or a children's choir. and great MVs too!

I was at "Funtown Splashtown USA" earlier, rather enjoying myself. The weather did NOT behave, and some of these pictures were taken in the rain. Still, it kept the crowds down.

Pictured is the only occasion in which you will see me wear a man-bun. There's a bearing directly behind the rider's head and I wear my hair quite long; I'd rather not be scalped.
I probably have nothing to worry about. Probably.

I used to go to Funtown annually when I was a kid. Of course, the Astrosphere would have been a bit much for a six-year-old, so I stuck to the kiddie rides.
According to Wiki, many of the kiddie rides are the same ones I rode nearly fifty years ago.
