— ( does knowing me more lead to loving me less ? )
side by side comparisons of captain wyra and medicus galen’s life in an au, separated by different photos. on the left column, the captain draws her rapier against garlean soldiers in the ilsabard contingent. then, she’s saluting reluctantly— having been given a new assignment from merlwyb herself. on the opposite side, galen is featured. in the top photo she’s seen leading garlean soldiers. in the next, she’s seen with a bomb collar on, having been captured by the eorzean alliance. the third photo has them finally interacting, with wyra reaching out for a fleeing galen. whatever boundary the two of them established has been broken, the unspoken line crossed. the medicus doesn’t pull away, choosing to listen. the final, and largest photo, features the two of them naked with fingers intwined and foreheads touching. there is nothing left to separate them, clothes or unspoken feelings.
