13th Century English ivory chess piece. Incredible. In the collection of the Met in New York.
Seen in today’s Anthropeum, which is like a gamefied version of the History of the World in 100 objects.

"My character is a ranger, they do ranger things, they conceive of themselves as a ranger." vs "This mashup of classes is extremely optimal for my combat skillset."

You've tied character identity to a system that is easily gamefied to make your 'identity' suboptimal.

They were both characters from gamefied worlds. She hoped they operated on the same rules.

She wanted that good ending that didn't exist for Sayori in this world.

I think the creators of "secret hitler" providing copies to every us senator in 2017 has backfired enormously..

sending gamefied fascism implementation training material to what has turned out to be mostly universally fascist loving lawmakers was a bit of a miscalculation..

The gamefied/quest nature of the movie makes the tragic ending even worse. It feels like YOU failed, and not in a fun way, where you can try again. And can we talk about those elite scientists, especially the final one? There are 100 moments when they could have given our hero the shot to save him.

Can anyone recommend good apps or tools for simple to-do lists? I don't want anything gamefied or fancy - at the moment I just do it in a Word doc on my phone but I'm wondering if there's anything you use that works well for you? I feel like a to-do list reduces the ambient Grim in my life.

social media gamefied by engagement count is a crazy concept like why are we speedrunning towards being the shittiest place on line

And, while some motions can still be a little wonky, I think these can be a really compelling way to get in some physical activity if you have the space and make it a part of your daily routine. You do feel like you're doing something proper, not just a gamefied approximation.

Outside the gamefied story elements, which are genuinely clever, the plotting of the series is very 80s Shonen Jump stuff tbh

Maybe younger folks are disconnected of that style of writing but Bayonetta making Gogeta with a pussy by fusing with herself is the kind of lunacy we should have more of.

Heh. Not everything needs to be gamefied imho, but this speaks to my commute.

1 more follower, for 50.

Early milestones, maybe, but i like it when gamefied.

It's kinda funny, but I always struggled with planners until I made my planner as gamefied and as associated with my special interests and diary writing as possible. The productivity benefits of planning actually works now because it's not a demand with more demands in it but my digital body double.

That’s a great analogy of transit app. Gamefied trip planning. Gotta pay for the more useful features, of course.

The first paper has this paragraph, which is always the problem, and the simulation aspect hardly makes me trust that the data they used for the analysis wasn't already in the damn training dataset. Gamefied benchmarks, every time.

They’ve gamefied the act of consuming, it’s insane

Both! It's a LitRPG where the characters are exploring a world gamefied like an RPG. This one has fantasy and sci-fi stuff in it and is probably the best I've read!

Isekai but your one broken overpowered skill is growing from every defeat. Since the ability is actual external to the usual gamefied system of this world, no one notices your growth.

They do wonder how it is that someone so massive seems to keep failing such a simple quest.

I did the same thing when the hate raids started and they did nothing
Twitch has never stepped up to protect people, and this is proof of at last how far they will go to exploit folks

Folks can support streamers in so many other ways. Twitch just gamefied the hell out of exploitation

Good luck! 💜

Duolingo is gamefied well, but it doesn't go very far in Arabic compared to how far it goes in other languages. It also leans toward MSA.
Natakallam has a 'curriculum' model and a conversation model. The curriculum leans MSA/Levant, but the conversation tutors can be chosen by different dialects.

I didn't expect to ever see a gamefied version of the oppressive nature of big cities and the daily grind of living in them, but I gotta say, that's really clever. Wouldn't be a fit for every game, obviously, but I can see it working for games where your mental state is front and center.

But what can you do when you're a lit mag that's gamefied the submission process, turning literature into content?

This is Ezra Klein gamefied politics for white people who’ve never experienced suffering.
