GameKey Cards & discs with only a fraction of the data are the worst of both worlds. Digital copies that can be physically sold or transferred means they can also be stolen or physically broken, eliminating one of the few true benefits of digital while still keeping all the other drawbacks.

And yes, while I prefer physical media whenever possible, I actually do prefer digital-only over faux physical releases like GameKey Cards or discs with only a fraction of the data on them. Those combine the problems of digital & physical with no benefits for someone like me who doesn't sell games.

I get really tired of people acting like Nintendo is any less shitty or predatory than Playstation. The company with mass faux "physical" release GameKey Cards, who discontinued Virtual Console and made it so retro games can't be bought, only got via subscription not less shitty or predatory,

Do I think the hate for them is vastly over blown? Yes.
If Playstation and X-Box hadn't gone to almost all "game key cards" years ago with almost no push back, I'd think this was genuine.

I'm sorry, but you can not convince me that GameKey cards are better than digital-only. Them being digital-in-all-but-name games that you can physically sell or loan also means they are digital copies that can be physically stolen or broken. They are the worst of both digital and physical.

Yeah imma be so real after the current trails arc ends im just buying everything on switch/switch 2. Sony doesnt deserve my money and the gamekey card thing sucks but nintendo and indie games release full on cart at least.
