reading about the duskbloods' weirdo ideas just makes me so sad that elden ring cut out the fun gimmicky parts of pvp so it just became good gankers vs. evil guerilla

The pure fetishization of gankers in the days of vanilla are just people who used to do it & now no longer have broken classes that objectively are better than some others and can't just kill somebody in 2 seconds in open world pvp.

Even after dumping 30+ hours leisurely strolling through CO without threat of Gankers during Vault Breaker I still only *Somewhat* Know how to navigate the map. There is literally no better send up to the Marathon IP than Cryo.

lol see thats what I like about Albion, I can fish, gather raw mats, craft my potions, raise mounts, and I only really have to interact with other players directly while ducking in an out of the lethal zones trying to escape gankers which 9 out of 10 times they miss me so it's really calming

Used to play a small MMO where the world was periodically reset. Each reset I'd found a non-clan affiliated village. There would be dozens of people happily clearing land and making roads and houses for a few weeks until the l33t gankers killed us all for the l0lz.
genuinely think MMOs lost sight somewhere along the road of the ways that multiplayer in a shared, persistent world can be a wonder and not just a rote feature of the form
FFXI is the goat because I died right before the final checkpoint of the final dungeon and Ava made it tot hr checkpoint and went back to town to recruit a white mage to raise me... multiplayer is awesome

In Elden Ring, when faced with gankers. If you manage to kill one of them, they get angry, which makes them reckless. Kill another, and they start to panic. When it's just you, slow walking like a slasher villain & deflecting all of the last man's Rivers of Blood spams, they're shitting themselves.

YOU SHOULD!!! It’s kinda difficult when getting started but once you get the hang of it and find a guild that frequently plays then the game becomes a lot less boring. Also the game is very parry focused so keep that in mind when playing and also beware of gankers
