I don’t blame anybody for mistaking Chili for a green cheek conure who has a colour mutation; GCCs have so many colour mutations, so it’s not an unreasonable assumption! He’s not a GCC at all however; He’s a different (albeit closely related) species called a white eared conure ✨

I don't think Hegseth or Rubio thinks beyond their nose, but I worry that the US becoming self-reliant and a major oil exporter changed the calculus: the continued existence of the GCCs benefits China, so having Iran genocide them while it dies is a net win for the US empire.
Hitting desalination plants is so bad. Not just evil but strategically incomprehensible. Without desalination 75% of the entire population of the Middle East will be refugees. Israel and Kuwait depend on desalination for 90% of their water and other Middle East states aren’t far behind.

In case somebody missed this; Lots of people assume Chili is a green cheek conure, which is completely understandable given that GCCs have a whole lot of colour morphs, but he actually isn’t! He’s a white eared conure, which is a closely related species from the same genus

I (and the GCCs) would contend there are ways to do that short of writing in that you have to go ask Omaha before you pop off a LRHW/CPS/ARRW, and tbh afaik the department agrees with that; I am not aware that anyone has written into definitive policy STRATCOM's view
