any of you nerds gemologists? or have a gemologist in the house? I am having a pickle of a time trying to ID a lab grown gem. Nothing makes sense.

So now I'm trying to figure out where gemologists draw the line between feldspar with chatoyancy and moonstone, and it's probably to do with gemminess - how clear and stable the stone is - but it does look like I've just been finding moonstones on the ground.

DeBeers & the value of “mined” diamonds are a total scam and you should get yourself a lab grown, where gemologists cannot even tell the difference (also values are dropping p dramatically to reflect that)

No. I had already realised that only gemologists should buy gems. And I was very busy installing radio stations and exploring the ruins of the ones installed by the previous government. The DRC is one hell of a place.
