this day back in 2017 I was working with daguerreotypes in the studio and had these two nifty ones. first is a 1/4 plate from 1850s of two US Navy officers, most notably James Waddell on right, later of the CSS Shenandoah fame. the other is unidentified, but the size is similar to the "gemtype"

this is an unfinished concept for a Steven Universe AU I work on! I don't remember what gemtype, but they were going to be similar to pearls as status pieces with the added ability to pull weighty items and carts.
