i should note that it isn't the MAIN issue that people are just genderbending a character from "problematic" media, it's that they're using it to be creepy weirdos on an ACTUAL IRL (former) CHILD ACTOR and put incel shit in there. it's icky.

It wouldn't surprise me but then I think they're cowards for genderbending Nick instead of them having weird vaguely homoerotic energy towards each other like the book had.
