Gentlecreatures, if any of you is on Instagram, go turn off the new map feature that tells everybody where you are.

It's almost Rest O'Clock.

Last week, my husband told me he respected my moral character, and I have been LIVING off it.

Gentlecreatures, it turns out being valued for your values makes for a top tier complement. Follow me for more romance tips.

Congratulations on all the small, quiet, almost-unnoticed ways you've become braver and more capable lately, my good gentlecreatures.🌱
Wouldn't it be nice if we could become braver and more capable without having to deal with difficult things?

Hello gentlecreatures, I am here to reassure you that I am, in fact, still among the living!

I hope you're all doing well and doing things that are important to you. 💙

Which of you gentlecreatures was it who was asking for #NationalParks pics of Crater Lake?

Look! I recovered my photos! Huzzah!
Listen, the water in the caldera that is Crater Lake in southern Oregon is
✨ INCREDIBLY✨ blue!

This island here is the result of a later volcanic eruption than the one that formed Crater Lake, and it's called WIZARD Island.

If you're looking for wonder, you'll find it here.

Go to sleep, gentlecreatures.
May 13, 2026 at 5:38 AM
It's not too late to rest, gentlecreatures. The weekend's not over yet. It's okay to turn it off for a couple of hours to rest and reset. I don't want you to quit, I want you strong. 🌱

Good morning, gentlecreatures!

Remember that your options are not just avoidance or overwhelm, and you are not alone. 🌱
The stated plan was to overwhelm anyone who would oppose it with too much to process and respond to, a barrage that just keeps coming.

The best advice I've heard is to get in community and work accordingly. See who's already doing the work and join in. Don't try to do everything, but do something.

Tis the weekend, gentlecreatures!
I hope you get some rest. 🌱
August 10, 2024 at 1:35 AM
Please go to sleep if you can, my gentlecreatures.

Eat something when you get up, or else when you're able.

Take any meds you need.

Drink some water.

That physical buffer will help you mentally and emotionally ballast yourself.

Keep up your strength. 🌱

but you beautiful gentlecreatures who come and sit and have a metaphorical cup of tea with me are what keeps me here.

Hello gentlecreatures, yes, I am actually a writer. I do, occasionally, still write. 🙆

The times are *whooshing noises* but I persist.

Good morning and good courage to you, gentlecreatures!

The uncertainties of our times are a challenge we will meet with integrity, compassion and determination. 🌱

Good moooorning, gentlecreatures!

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the people of my country are gathering in cities big and small across the country to speak up for one another.

Gentlecreatures, I called Grandma and got the DEETS! Buckle in (preferably not close to any windows)!

🌪

Twas the 1925 Tri-State Tornado...

My grandma's mom was home alone with the baby (my Great Aunt Margaret) when weather started looking twisty, but they had no storm cellar to retreat to.

🧵
My great-grandmother was sucked out a window by a tornado WHILE HOLDING HER INFANT. The baby had to be raised by someone else for a couple of months while she recovered, but they both fully recovered.

My family's feud with the skies goes back generations.
As a child, I spent a fraught, frightful hour of many a night in a dark, dank basement, hiding from the Devourer in the Sky. Time after time, year after year, it passed us by and never touched us.
It hungers still for our blood.

If you don't hear from me again, know I went out like a Midwesterner.

Hi gentlecreatures,

You may know me as the wanderer who spent 2 months posting a National Park or other public land a day this spring to beautify your timeline and highlight the danger our lands are in under this administration.

These lands are in and around many of those places.

Time for a new 🧵
