Cubism ptero btw.
I will call this style "geometric animalism"
Or "animalistic geometrism"

Pauses Between the Songs by Peter Hugo McClure (2006) #geometrism #geometricabstraction

Well, anyway, all these types of abstract painting, at the most basic level, tend toward a sort of geometrism. You get the feeling that yes, that what they tend to do is replace the diagram with code. When that doesn’t work is when the painting merely applies an external code.

In Book 2, Clausewitz trashed essentially ALL earlier authors, saying they only dealt with material dimensions of war, approaching war unilaterally; overlooked moral-psychological factors + genius. Then, when he blasts war by algebra and geometrism, he reinforces our received ideas about mil. lit.

"There's an insistence on mathematical or numerical aspects of the world, a striving after illusory certainty, a ‘morbid geometrism’, a preoccupation with spatial arrangements in the world, and with symmetry => certain ‘lifeless rigid obsessionality"

What they said.

The Cubist lamppost. Cubist architecture was a fairly short-lived movement, and unlike the more deconstructive approach of Cubist painting it seemed to focus more on geometrism as decoration.

Since Carl trashed them, it must be true: earlier theorists pass for a bunch of naïve believers in the dogmas of military scientism—its positive systèmes de guerre, “war by algebra,” geometrism, “engineering principle”, their unrealistic lack of intangibles, warlike element, moral forces, genius
