my last point is particularly sad to me for the reason that OG gfighter is so genuinely sincere and im always telling people that despite its silliness it ISN’T a “parody of gundam” like SD or gundamsan and shit. but this 3rd sidestory is, functionally, intentionally or not, a parody of gfighter

not to keep going on about this but I think part of why the sidestory frustrates me still is it’s functionally a bad-ending for gfighter and the future century as a whole but there’s nothing fun / redeeming abt it. just the assertion that no, love is not enough and the only point is more fighting ig
The thing about 3rd sidestory Domon is I think the only reasonable continuation is for Rain to just go dg mode, kill him and then go end the future century
