It would take hundreds of the same level of susbcriber to actually pay my salary.

Totally agree. It's so easy to create a GhostPro blog or a WordPress site now and use social to get exposure.

@jannem@fosstodon.org GhostPro newsletters are hosted by Ghost itself. Self-hosted Ghost doesn't have ActivityPub integration yet. When it does, I'll probably move it. (JapanArtIslands is self-hosted with SpaceHost)

Alright, I shut down some old Wordpress sites I don't really use anymore.

This weekend, I'm trying to turn one into a Fediverse solo instance and see what happens.
