Vintage 1930s/40s Perkin's Halloween lunch napkin. I've never seen the matching plate but there is a matching glassine doily.

First, the chicken has been wrapped in two layers of acid-free archival glassine tissue paper.

Farewell, Goofus Doofus! He’ll next see daylight on the other side of the world 😍

Oh wow what a truly horrific well of darkened mirrors down which we may eternally fall getting less & less real at each mutually reflected turn— a sort of anti-apotheosis at the end of which the brittle glassine shell of what's left is eternally shiveringly devoured in a cage we used to call society

Glassine, glassine, glassine, glassine...
I'm begging of you, please come wrap my treats.
I wish the plastic wrappers on cookies and things could be replaced with glassine envelopes... apart from the environmental stuff, there's something very pleasing about the crumpliness of waxed paper

packing her up today 🥹 may or may not use an entire roll of bubble wrap

Next it’s been sandwiched between two rigid foam boards (all materials here are acid-free, these included), and then wrapped in a final layer of glassine tissue.

Vintage 1920s (earlier?) Halloween silhouettes. I had two packs of these but the insert was ivory and came within a glassine envelope. They're an inexpensive way to create a Halloween mood. Easy and inexpensive to make, too! 👻

on a random note for my shop stuff, i've been thinking of switching to glassine envelopes to pack my orders 🤔 it's a bit pricier but idm that change since it's more ecofriendly too 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

(i still have my leftover plastic packagings that i need to finish first tho....)

This works on entomologists as well. A $5 bill is actually an ideal shape for folding into a triangular envelope for butterflies.

No prizes for guessing what's in this box.

"Winnie The Pooh" first delux edition from 1926 in full red leather. This copy is immaculate, largely because for a hundred years it has been retained in its original box and, even more scarce to see, its original glassine wrap.

Ok am I talking myself into Glassine pouches!!??

First off they’re just neat paper!?

Second apparently grease resistant !?

And they’re opaque so hidden but also visible!?
