Gleylancer was never released in the US, which is a crime since it's one of the best SHMUPs on the console.

I also guess I can blame myself for contributing to this mess. Instead of buying a flash cart like a normal person, I was like yeah I'll buy a vaguely official-ish copy of Gleylancer that sounds fine, they went through the effort of getting the license, they definitely won't steal a fan translation.

since the gleylancer overdrive demo isn't going to go live until the coming monday i guess i don't mind showing off the initial direct port of the first stage song, asteroid field for the opnb/ 2610
this was when i first thought we would be doing a more faithful remake for the neo geo

Finally played through it tonight, eleven months on. Pretty good! Not the best shooter on the Mega Drive for me, but almost certainly the prettiest. Comfortably hangs with stuff like Gleylancer for me in the A-tier, just below the all time greats on the console.
Noticed that Earthion has been published by a different publisher to Limited Run in the UK, vindicating my decision to maintain my petty decade-long grudge and boycott it on release. Guess I can grab that at some point now.
